Our apprenticeship and journeyworker upgrading training is second to none. Our apprentices go through a four-year program, ensuring they are trained in all aspects of the architectural glass and metal trade - but the training doesn't stop there. Continuing education is carried out for journeyworkers as well to keep our glaziers up to date and keep their skills sharp.

The AGMT certification is exclusive to architectural glass and metal installers and provides a means to verify the specific skill set of the installers for glass and glazing systems.
How does AGMT bring value to projects:
Increased Safety, Quality and Energy Efficiency
The AGMT program emphasizes the factors that minimize construction defects and failures and produce results that better conform to customer requirements.
Validates that a glazing technician has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform at a high level of professionalism.
Differentiates technicians and their companies.
Reduces subjective personnel criteria.
Demonstrates a commitment to quality.
Elevates customer and supplier confidence.
Indicates a commitment to continuing education.
Provides a consistent competency benchmark for architectural glass and metal installers across North America.
Benefits to the Industry
Efficient and professional installation of glazing products is crucial in today’s competitive construction environment. Every stakeholder benefits from competency. The AGMT program recognizes craftworkers who utilize industry best practices, giving peace of mind to building owners, design professionals, general contractors, and insurers.
The AGMT program was developed by a balanced cross-section of glaziers, glazing contractors, industry manufacturers and suppliers, architects, spec writers, consultants, and general contractors. All aspects of the programs are managed and administered by an independent third-party organization and sponsored by the Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council (AGMCC), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, public benefit organization.
Energy Efficiency
Products are held to standards and tested to ensure they meet energy efficiency standards. With AGMT we can now hold our architectural glass and metal installers (AGMT) to the same level of quality assurance. Correct material handling and installation ensure the system meets the desired energy efficiency goals. From the contractors quality management system to the installers knowledge on water management and air infiltration, the certification process ensures the entire construction chain has no weak links.
These certifications ensure the owner, end users, tax payers and all of the stakeholders get what they pay for and that the products installed are meeting the energy efficiency expectations of the owner/end user.
The quality and energy efficiency assurance that certification offers is invaluable in the current landscape where owners are building and retrofitting. With large tax incentives like the Dynamic Glass tax credit and the 179D tax revision, owners cannot afford to miss the mark on energy efficiency.
The Capstone to a glaziers career
By quantifying the knowledge and ensuring a baseline of proficiency of the installer, this ANSI accredited, third-party installer certification (AGMT), is the capstone to a sustainable career model. This allows mobility to the installer, as the AGMT certification is recognized all across North America and is the only ANSI accredited certification for architectural glass and metal installers.
In order to achieve certification, an individual must:
Meet all prerequisite requirements (7500 hours in the industry and OSHA 10 or greater).
Pass the written (knowledge-based) test.
Pass the physical (performance-based) curtainwall test.
Pass the physical (performance-based) storefront test.
Pass the physical (performance-based) sealing test.
Recertification every 4 years, including written testing, evidence of required work hours, and completion of a set amount of continuing education (32 hours over 4 years)
